Trip to Tifosi Rana

A really interesting morning was enjoyed by all those visiting the Tifosi Rana Sportscar factory in Ashreigney.

This turned out to be in the middle of nowhere and asking a local for final directions didn’t help me at all.  However, twenty members, mostly from the South Hams meeting, turned up in a super array of MGs plus one Morgan and an Austin Healey Sprite, to find out how to transform a tired Midget/Sprite Mk2 into a replica ‘Frogeye’ Sprite.

The owner, Kevin Moore, gave a fascinating talk from engineering to fibreglass and ended up with an intriguing story about how he has acquired The Star Motor Company Ltd: which he claims to be the oldest motor company in the world.

We all adjourned to the Royal Oak in Winkleigh for lunch , eventually, as this time my excuse was a herd of cows.
